Anshuman Ghosh is a creative designer and photographer based in Johannesburg, South Africa, who creates quirky images using only tiny illustrations and his smartphone.
“I’ve got crazy ideas in my head when it comes to how I would like to see the world,” he says. “I wanted to create something that was a fusion between what was real and what was not. I came up with this technique I call phone framing. Placing the phone in the picture gives me the freedom to trick my audience into believing the phone is more than something that it is.”
The result is nothing short of a fresh glimpse into the mesmerizing little worlds hiding within the phone. The illusion is achieved with the help of an iPhone and hand-drawn paper cutouts – and of course, a touch of inspiration from every day life.
