Artist Creates Miniature Scenes From Random Items Every Day Since 2011

Broccoli and parsley might sometimes look like a forest, or the tree leaves floating on the surface of the water might sometimes look like little boats“. Everyone must have had similar thoughts at least once, says Japanese photographer and art director Tatsuya Tanaka, who likes to transform these everyday occurrences into amazing miniature scenes.

From CDs, bottles, sandwiches to pencils, mugs, duct tape and pretty much everything you can think of is ingeniously put together by the artist in diorama-style scenes that create dramatic or humorous worlds for his miniature inhabitants.

Tanaka has been doing this every single day starting 2011, publishing photos of his work under the Miniature Calendar project, which he hopes to “add a little enjoyment to your everyday life“.
