New York-based Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck are specialized in creating cinemagraphs, a hybrid between image and video that looks absolutely stunning.
Cinemagraphs are still photos in which a minor and repeated movement occurs, usually published as animated GIFs. The artists describe it as a living photograph, a photo that has a living moment inside of it.
What makes cinemagraph so special is the way a minor movement seems to bring a photo to life, making it more realistic and in the same time, magical.
In their work, Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck manage to present moments suspended in time, like a fragment of one’s memory or imagination put on hold.
