Montaña Mágica Lodge (Magic Mountain) is located in the Huilo Huilo Reserve, Chile, a 600 square kilometers (232 sq mi) natural reserve that includes 600 square kilometers (232 sq mi) of native forest which includes lakes, waterfalls, hot springs and direct access to the Mocho Choshuenco volcano. The volcano-like hotel building looks like something you’d find in the Middle-earth landscape of Lord Of The Rings, being covered with moss and vines, with water dripping from its roof.

Located at the edge of Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat, Hotel Palacio del Sal is built entirely from salt blocks, including most of its furniture. To prevent degradation, the hotel policy includes a rule that prohibits licking the walls.

Bivacco Gervasutti capsule hotel sits at the edge of Mont Blanc, about 2800 meters (9,300 feet) above sea level and it was designed to withstand high-altitude conditions and avalanches however, getting there is a bit tricky as the ascent from Vel Ferret Vally is about four hours.
